Scott Lien, Chief Cultivation Officer

Scott is the founder of DBI Consulting and a co-founder of Lifescale Analytics. He began his consulting career in 1984 with Consultants in Computer Software (CICS). Scott quickly rose in the company, becoming the Chief Talent Officer where he was responsible for engaging the consulting talent with the on-going client projects. After the company was sold to Modis, Scott launched DBI Consulting, a Twin Cities firm serving clients since 1988. DBI Consulting quickly grew from engagements with leading companies such as 3M, St. Paul Cos., Wells Fargo, GMAC-RFC and others.

As a co-founder of Lifescale Analytics, Scott prefers the “cultivation” title rather than the more ubiquitous CEO. He sees his job as doing just that—cultivating relationships with clients, employees and partners. He’s also adamant about cultivating a culture of excellence and innovation.
